Personal injury compensation for taxi passenger injured in collision
Boyes Turner's personal injury lawyers secured £7,750 in compensation for a woman who was travelling as a passenger in a taxi when it drove through a red light and crashed into another vehicle.
The distal phalanx of her big toe was fractured and she also suffered soft tissue injuries, bruising to both of her knees and jarring of her right shoulder.
She went to see her GP the day after the accident and was informed that she had fractured her right big toe. A couple of days later her knees were hurting and she visited her GP again. She was given MRI scans on both of her knees and was referred to a specialist for physiotherapy. Her right shoulder was sore for 2-3 weeks and then settled down.
As a result of her injuries she had to take two weeks off work. She can no longer wear high heeled shoes for prolonged periods of time and has 'on and off' pain in both of her knees. She has trouble getting up from a chair as well as going up and down the stairs. She was also unable to go to the gym for six weeks following the accident.
