£6k compensation - man injured in motorway collision where the driver at fault left the scene
Boyes Turner’s personal injury lawyers were instructed by a man who was injured after a road traffic accident where the defendant had left the scene of the accident before they could be identified.
Our client was driving a fully liveried Highways Agency Traffic Officer Vehicle when he was struck by another vehicle. The force of the impact pushed his vehicle on to the hard shoulder and up the embankment.
He immediately informed the Regional Control Centre about the incident by radio before leaving his vehicle to check that the occupants in the other vehicle were unhurt. As he approached the defendant’s vehicle which was stationed on the hard shoulder the defendant drove off and left the scene of the accident.
He sustained a strain of his cervico-dorsal spine. He also suffered from left sided neck pain and left sided peri-scapular pain.
Boyes Turner’s personal injury lawyers secured £6k in compensation for our client for the injuries he sustained in the accident.
