£70,000 compensation for firework accident
Mr A whilst at a firework display was struck in the face by a stray firework causing injury to his left eye. Consequently he suffered an injury to the cornea and damage to the iris, which had been torn away from its root, and haemorrhaging in the retina. Mr A also sustained permanent 95% loss of vision and may also require further surgery in the future.
